Adults: take 1–4 capsules per day with food, or as directed by your healthcare provider. The full 4-capsule serving delivers 300mg of elemental magnesium. Most adults benefit from splitting the dose — for example, 2 capsules with breakfast and 2 capsules with dinner — to support steady absorption throughout the day.

What to expect
Days 1–7
Adjustment
Most people tolerate chelated magnesium well from day one. If you're switching from magnesium oxide or citrate, you may notice less GI distress within the first few days. Take with food for best comfort.
Weeks 2–4
Tissue Saturation
Magnesium is stored primarily in bone and soft tissue. Daily supplementation gradually rebuilds these reserves, especially if dietary intake has been low. Effects on muscle relaxation and sleep quality are typically reported in this window.
Month 2+
Steady State
With consistent daily intake, your magnesium status reaches a steady plateau. Continued use maintains the levels — magnesium is excreted daily, so this isn't a supplement you load and stop.

Manufactured in the USA. Magnesium Lysinate Glycinate Chelate sourced from Albion Laboratories.

Made to 21 CFR Part 111 cGMP standards
Every finished lot is tested for identity, label-claim actives, and microbial safety before release.
How it's made
FDA-Registered Manufacturing
Produced in a US manufacturing facility registered with the FDA for dietary supplement production. The registration is independently maintained and subject to federal inspection.
Made Under cGMP Standards
Production adheres to current Good Manufacturing Practices, the federal framework that governs identity, purity, strength, and composition of every batch. All processing happens in dedicated clean rooms designed to prevent cross-contamination.
Branded Chelated Form
The magnesium in this product is TRAACS™ Magnesium Lysinate Glycinate Chelate from Albion Laboratories — a fully-reacted chelate produced under Albion's specifications, not a generic chelated blend.
Raw Materials Tested for Identity & Heavy Metals
Each incoming raw material batch is verified against identity and purity protocols before production begins. Heavy metals screening is part of the standard intake process.
Microbial Safety Checks
Both the production environment and the finished product are tested for microbial hazards. Contamination controls are monitored throughout holding, processing, and packaging.
300mg Elemental, As Labeled
Some magnesium supplements list compound weight rather than elemental weight, making true dose comparison difficult. The 300mg here is elemental magnesium — the amount your body actually receives.
Clinical research on the ingredients
Bioavailability
Chelated magnesium forms (such as magnesium glycinate) demonstrate higher absorption rates and improved gastrointestinal tolerance compared to magnesium oxide.

Dietary Intake Gap
Approximately half of US adults consume less than the Estimated Average Requirement for magnesium, with intakes declining further among older adults and certain demographic groups.

Muscle & Recovery
Magnesium plays a fundamental role in muscle contraction, nerve transmission, and ATP-dependent energy metabolism, with active populations potentially having elevated requirements.

What customers ask

Questions, answered straight.

Why magnesium glycinate chelate instead of cheaper forms?
Inorganic forms like magnesium oxide are inexpensive but poorly absorbed and frequently cause GI distress. Chelated forms (where the magnesium is bound to amino acids) are absorbed more efficiently and tolerated better. The TRAACS™ chelate used here is fully-reacted, meaning the binding is complete rather than a loose mix.
How much magnesium should I take?
The RDA for adult men is 400–420mg/day and 310–320mg/day for women. The 300mg dose here covers most adult needs as a single supplement, especially when combined with magnesium-rich foods like leafy greens, nuts, seeds, and whole grains.
Should I take it morning or night?
Magnesium can be taken at any time. Some people prefer evening dosing because magnesium supports the body's relaxation pathways, which can complement a wind-down routine. Splitting the 4 capsules across two meals (e.g., breakfast and dinner) supports steady absorption.
Will it cause loose stools like other magnesium?
The chelated form was specifically chosen for digestive tolerance. Most people don't experience the laxative effect common with magnesium oxide or citrate. If you do notice GI sensitivity, reduce to 2 capsules and increase gradually.
Can I take it with other supplements?
Yes — magnesium pairs well with vitamin D3, creatine, and most other supplements. Avoid taking it at the same time as high-dose calcium or zinc, as minerals can compete for absorption. Spacing them by 2 hours resolves this.
What's TRAACS™?
TRAACS™ stands for The Real Amino Acid Chelate System, developed by Albion Laboratories. It's a verified chelation process that produces a fully-reacted mineral-amino acid bond. We use this branded form because it has independent absorption data behind it, not a generic chelate label.
Can I take it long-term?
Yes. Magnesium is an essential mineral, and your body excretes excess through the kidneys. Long-term supplementation at 300mg/day is well within safety guidelines for healthy adults. If you have kidney disease or take certain medications, consult your doctor first.
